Description: Gladio of I century A.D. found in the only Swiss legionary camp, head office of Claudia’s Legio XI and a detachment of Avgvsta’s Legio VIII. The gladius has got a real decoration typical of the Augustan period in which communication is developed through images, this to show the people the thought of the first emperor of Rome, Augustus. The blade is made with tempered K720 steel, hilt with walnut wood and bones, the decoration of the scabbard is in 999 silver plated bronze.
