Origin: Replica inspired by the Gladius of Kalkriese: The discovery of the Gladius of Kalkriese comes from the geographical area of ​​Lower Saxony in Germany, where the Romans suffered a great defeat in 9 A.D.

The original finds are now in the Museum und Park Kalkriese – Bramsche – Germany and the drawings and studies are present in the book “Studien zur römischen Schwertbewaffnung in der Kaiserzeit” by C. Miks as well as in the book ” Beschläge einer Gladiusscheide und Teile eines eingulum aus Kalkriese, Landkreis Osnabrück” by G. Franzius. The blade is in tempered K720 steel while the handle is in walnut and hand-carved bone. The metal parts of the scabbard were plaqued in 24k gold plated bronze and 999 silver plated bronze. In the scabbard there are hard stones (tiger’s eye) and (carnelian stone), the second has an engraving depicting the Goddess Thàlia.
